Kendrick Lamar, Top Dawg Ent Sign to Aftermath/Interscope
The relationship was already there sounds like a natural progression to me. Hopefully this means an official Kendrick album soon
It’s been a long while in the making, but last night it became official. Top Dawg Entertainmentthe home of the future of Hip Hop aka the Black Hippy collective aka rappers Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock has officially signed a Joint Venture deal with Dr Dre‘s Aftermath and major label Interscope records.
The news which was confirmed by TDE president Dave Free and TDE founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, means that Kendrick Lamar’s forthcoming yet untitled album will be released via TDE/AfterMath/Interscope as well as further releases from ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock will also be released under the new Joint Venture.
