Rocawear Partners With New York Yankees
“I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can.” Sounds like a perfect fit to me
Rocawear has announced a partnership with famous Major League Basbeball squad the New York Yankees.
The deal, which goes into action for the 2012 season, grants Rocawear-branded signage in Yankee Stadium and includes integrated promotions throughout the season.
Jameel Spencer, Executive Vice President of Marketing for the Iconix Brand Group, Inc., the company that owns the rights to Rocawear and with whom Jay has a separate management and licensing venture, said, “Jay-Z has been a long-time fan of the Yankees, regularly attends games and has even included his favorite team in song lyrics, so this was a natural partnership. Rocawear, along with Jay-Z are very excited to be working with the Yankees for the 2012 season. We feel another championship in ‘12!”
