Scholarship In Honor Of Rapper Proof Launches For Detroit Students ApolloKIDZ.com

Late rapper DeShaun “Proof” Holton will be honored through a new scholarship being being offered to high school seniors in Detroit, Michigan.

Proof’s mother Sharallene “Pepper” Holton-White, who launched the Proof Foundation in 2007 to preserve the rapper’s legacy by promoting education to low income children from single parent households.

The rapper’s non-profit also aims to educate aspiring artists about the music businessby organizing and sponsoring workshops and field trips.

In order to qualify for the Proof Foundation’s first ever scholarship, Detroit students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be heading for a two-year, or four-year college or university.
