The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl
I’m so happy to see another colorful webseries on the block. This has definitely been bookmarked! Check out the series’ star Issa Rae as she deals with a bad breakup, a new hairdo, and a nerdy co-worker in Episode 1 (below).

Over the weekend, while perusing Shadow & Act and getting my film fix, I stumbled on the gem, “The Misadventures of AWKWARD Black Girl” a new webseries staring Issa Rae, a woman who has taken it in her hands to tell her own story.
According to Rae’s site, AwkwardBlackGirl.com, the series, “‘The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl’ follows the title character and friends as she navigates through life, love and awkward situations.”
