Ice Cube to Star in “21 Jump Street”
I used to love watching re-runs of this show. I’m just not sure how the campiness of it will translate in 2011.
Ice Cube is in the final stages of negotiations to join the cast of an updated, movie version of the classic 80′s television series, “21 Jump Street. ”
The original 1987 TV series starred Johnny Depp, Peter DeLuise and Holly Robinson Peete and focused on a pair of undercover cops looking to infiltrate high schools to control youth crime.
According to Variety, Cube is in talks to star as “Captain Dickson” for the new movie version of “21 Jump Street” with previously announced actors Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum.
